Man appears to take a selfie while being arrested following a traffic incident.

Queensland Police have charged a man with multiple offences following a disturbance at Mountain Creek, which led to a pursuit of a vehicle to Doonan. The pursuit involved nearly two dozen officers and began at Mountain Creek.

A 39-year-old man from Mountain Creek, Queensland, has been arrested for allegedly stealing a truck and causing a traffic holdup.

He was taken into handcuffs and used his phone to take a selfie. Witnesses reported at least 20 police cars in pursuit, with the man’s driving being dangerous.

No one was injured.

The man has been charged with five counts of serious assault police, three counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, and one count each of unlicensed driving, going armed so as to cause fear, possessing unauthorised medicine, armed robbery, unlawful entry of a vehicle, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday.
