A 16-year-old girl died and her 10-year-old sister is in critical condition after a head-on collision near Dubbo, New South Wales, while on their way to Melbourne for Taylor Swift’s concert.

The mother and her daughters were in the front passenger seat and the girl died at the scene.

A Queensland family has been impacted by a semi-trailer accident, with the driver suffering serious brain injuries.

The sister was flown to Westmead Hospital in Sydney, while the mother was treated at the scene and taken to Dubbo Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the crash, and an online fundraiser has been set up to help the Queensland family with costs, such as accommodation in Sydney.
