Trains between Gordon and North Sydney are suspended due to severe weather.

Due to severe weather damaging equipment at Milsons Point and North Sydney, there is currently a very limited train service operating between North Sydney and Gordon in both directions. It is anticipated that there may be delays throughout the evening.

Additionally, several routes between Gordon and North Sydney are being supplemented in both directions by a limited bus service. Please try to prevent unnecessary travel, or think about taking advantage of the local bus and metro systems. If you must travel, give yourself lots of extra time, monitor information screens and transit apps, and pay attention to announcements for any updates.

Storms in Sydney have caused the T1 North Shore Line to shut down, causing trains to be unavailable between North Sydney and Gordon.

Transport NSW has ordered replacement buses to assist commuters, but they have not yet arrived on site.

Services on the Transport NSW app TripView have been marked as delayed, with some running between 22 and 55 minutes late.

The company advises passengers to delay their trip if possible and for those already travelling to allow plenty of extra travel time.

The delays follow a previous disruption to Sydney trains on Friday, when an incident requiring emergency services caused delays on all but two lines and sparked a major backlog of trains in the CBD.

The Bureau of Meteorology reported that heavy rainfall had eased around Sydney. Arriving flights were also delayed in Sydney due to the conditions.
